Our Offerings

At Pomegranate, we know that healing and growth comes in all different forms. Here, we offer a range of levels for the needs of you and your partner/s in the form of individual, relationship, or group therapy. We also provide clinical supervision for therapists and students who align with our values and want to deepen their work in sexuality, identity, and relational healing.

  • Individual therapy sessions include working collaboratively one-on-one with your therapist.

  • Relationship therapy provides a space where you and your partner/s can work through conflict and reach desired goals while being supported and guided by your therapist.

Intensive partner sessions are also available upon request.

These sessions are intended for partners that are in need of a more intensive, directive, and fast-acting approach. This may involve 4 to 8 hour therapy sessions over 1-3 days, and may have both Hallie and Caleb as the therapists in the same session. This approach is not covered by insurance. Please reach out to admin@pomsextherapy.com to inquire further about these sessions.

  • Rethinking “Sex and Porn Addiction”

This psychotherapy group is for individuals who are struggling with or seeking to understand out-of-control sexual behavior (commonly called Sex Addiction and Porn Addiction). In this group, we explore how these issues develop and how to treat them. The aim is for the group members to develop a relationship with sex/sexuality that is within their values.

Group participants will have a one-session intake with Caleb Sargent before starting. If needed, participants can begin ongoing individual therapy as well.

You are most likely to benefit from this group if you have any of the following experiences:

    • Have thought of yourself as a sex addict or porn addict

    • Have had sexual behaviors that feel are out of control

    • Have repeated sexual behaviors that you often regret

    • Trouble understanding why you do certain sexual behaviors

    • Feel shame about your sexual behaviors

    • Have experienced relationship issues due to out of control sexual behavior

    • Have sexual behavior that feels compulsive

    • Use sexual behaviors as an “escape” from difficult emotions

This group is open to anyone that has shared these experiences. The cost is $50 per session. Out-of-network coverage paperwork can be provided for insurance plans that apply. The group does not have a set time yet, but a time will be decided once enough participants sign up. For questions or to sign up for the group, please reach out to caleb@pomsextherapy.com

    Queer OCD Psychotherapy Group

This group is for anyone that has OCD or OCD-like experiences. This may involve compulsive behaviors and rumination. OCD often develops due to attachment/relational trauma in childhood. The child then learns to become hypervigilant and protective through compulsive behaviors/rumination. As such, group therapy can be challenging but powerful for individuals with OCD. The process of developing secure, vulnerable relationships in a psychotherapy setting can act as safe exposure to the core fears that fuel OCD.

Group participants will have a one-session intake with Caleb Sargent before starting. If needed, participants can begin ongoing individual therapy as well.

You are most likely to benefit from this group if you have any of the following experiences:

    • Have been diagnosed or understand yourself to have OCD

    • Have had repeated behaviors that feel uncontrollable

    • Ruminate obsessively about relationships, daily events, morality, if you are a “bad person”, sickness, contamination, etc.

    • Have trouble understanding why you compulsively engage in behaviors and thoughts

    • Feel exhausted and limited by your rumination

This group is open to anyone that has shared these experiences. The cost is $50 per session. Out-of-network coverage paperwork can be provided for insurance plans that apply. The group does not have a set time yet, but a time will be decided once enough participants sign up. For questions or to sign up for the group, please reach out to caleb@pomsextherapy.com

Queer Children of Emotionally Immature Parents

One of the core jobs of a parent is to be able to hold emotional space for their children. Children are emotional, internally messy, complex, and often need help. Parents that cannot process their own emotions are unable to make space for the development of “personhood” in their children. That is, for their children to be their own individual people with needs, boundaries, interests, identity, and difficult emotion. Children need to be able to have conversations with their parents such as: “I’m angry with you”, “You’re hurting me”, and “I need this to change”.

Queer Children of Emotionally Immature Parents often have the following experiences:

    • Feeling the need to “people-please”

    • Mind-reading others emotional states and changing how you act accordingly

    • Feeling like you are always doing something wrong, or are in trouble

    • Challenges expressing your needs to others

    • Feeling like you need something to change in your relationship with your parents, but that you aren’t allowed to

    • High amounts of rumination and self-criticism

    • Feeling like you are always “performing” for others

    • Low self-worth

You can complete a self-assessment to determine if you have had an emotionally immature parent here:https://curioushealing.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/ACEIP_exercises.pdf

The group will be led by Caleb Sargent, LISW, CST, who has also struggled with emotionally immature parents. In the group, participants will learn about common experiences of queer children of emotionally immature parents, why they happen, and what to do. Participants will assist each other in healing from these experiences.

  • Supervision offered by Caleb Sargent

The philosophical and theoretical backings of my therapeutic practice extend to supervision as well. I view supervision as a collaborative and co-constructed process. The individuals I supervise bring a unique perspective through their life experiences, personality, and therapeutic interests. Supervision, through this lens, is just as much about developing person-as-therapist as it is developing clinical knowledge.

I have been supervising since 2023 and find it deeply fulfilling. I take the development of therapists seriously, as the work we do in supervision will have an impact on the therapist as well as every client they work with. It’s a privilege to be a part of that ripple effect.

I feel comfortable and confident supervising a range of issues, but am uniquely suited to assist in the development in the following therapeutic skills: existential psychotherapy, sex therapy, out of control sexual behavior, self-disclosure, transference and countertransference, narrative therapy, kink/BDSM, queer issues, anti-oppressive therapy, and neurodivergence.

I am an LISW-S and Certified Sex Therapist (CST). I will soon be entering into my CST Supervisor training. As such, I am able to supervise any of the following: social work students, LISW supervision, CST supervision. Supervision is typically $150 per hour.
