Our Commitment
To create a space that embraces everyone in all of their identities.
We are continually learning & unlearning.
Our lived experiences, education and training, and ongoing learning and unlearning informs our commitment to create a space that is embracing of everyone in all of their identities. We want to cultivate an environment where people can discover and embrace the most expansive and liberated version of themselves.

We know what it’s like.
As queer people ourselves, we know first hand how difficult it can be to find a therapist to whom we do not have to explain, defend, or justify our existence.
We understand and acknowledge the harm caused by the Mental Health Industrial Complex - namely to Black folks, people of color, queer people, transgender and gender non-conforming folks and Indigenous peoples. Due to this legacy of harm and systemic violence, we center our work around a de-pathologizing and human-centered approach. To us, working from an anti-oppressive framework encompasses anti-racism, decolonization, feminism, queer theory, and disability justice.

I view therapy as one of the most powerful tools that we have for enhancing human connection to self and others. At its core, therapy is a collaborative relationship built on mutual trust between the therapist and the person seeking it out, and I strongly believe that this therapeutic relationship can be a transformative catalyst for healing, making important changes, and finding and creating meaning in life. It is an incredible privilege and responsibility to be alongside folks in this process, which is why it is a priority for me to work from an anti-oppressive, decolonial lens. Less pathologizing, more connecting.
In my practice, I tend to draw mainly from Narrative Therapy, Existential Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Sensate Focus, and Humanistic Therapy, while also integrating creativity, play, movement, humor and art. I tailor my approach to each person depending on their individual needs, values, and belief systems. I work with folks dealing with a wide range of issues (depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, DID) and specialize in issues dealing with sexuality, gender, intimacy, sexual dysfunction, and sexual trauma. In my therapy sessions, I work hard to provide an inviting and calm environment for people to show up exactly as they are. I respect therapy as a profound and sacred space for folks to become the most expansive and fully realized version of themselves. By modeling direct, thoughtful, and honest communication, I invest in each client relationship to support each person in their pursuit of goals and self discovery.
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker, which strongly informs my therapeutic approach and perspective as a sex therapist. My early career roots in medical social work at varying levels of care (LGBTQ-focused community non-profit, Trauma-Focused Intensive Outpatient Program, hospital) provide me with a strong basis of experience that shapes my understanding of navigating the multilayered challenges of the health care system and Mental Health Industrial Complex. Acknowledging the limitations and harm these systems cause and perpetuate when working within them is the first essential step to moving towards a more liberated and decolonized future for the fields of social work and psychotherapy. Understanding this helps me to better collaborate with my clients in their process by helping them navigate towards the necessary resources and community they are looking for alongside therapy.
Outside of my sessions, I love to read and support local bookstores, spend time with my close friends and family, move my body, and go out looking for frogs and toads.

I view therapy as a uniquely human process, and seek to demystify the process of working on mental health. Though I take the role and separation of “therapist” seriously, I reject the notion of a “healer” and a “person needing healing” in the session. The catalyst for me becoming a therapist was my own mental health issues, which I have worked hard to heal from and that I still continue to work on. At any point during our work together, I encourage you to give feedback and ask questions liberally.
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and Certified Sex Therapist (CST). I adapt my therapeutic approach depending on the client that I am working with, but I tend to draw from some combination of Existential Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I work with a broad range of mental health issues, but am particularly specialized in the following: sexual dysfunction, sexual shame, gender issues, children of emotionally immature parents, neurodivergence, OCD, and existential issues (death anxiety, meaning, freedom, isolation).
I offer a collaborative, warm, and genuine space for working on these issues. I feel grateful for the vulnerability and human relationships that being a therapist provides me, and am honored to be a part of the process that assists others in becoming their best selves. Therapy with me can embody all of the aspects of human relationships - connection, laughter, vulnerability, boundaries, deep emotion, and honesty. I will meet you where you are and we will travel together to where you want to go, and who you want to be.
Outside of being a therapist, I usually spend my time creating music, being in nature, or cooking.
